August outreach

Back in August, me (Maddie), Grace, Abbie, and Leah went to a VBS with Bayou City Fellowship, (Grace and Leah's church). It was a wonderful experience! They had a circus act, we sang, and the story of Esther was taught. 

We danced to a song called "All Things New" by Steven Curtis Chapman.  We helped play games with the little kids, and talked to a few people afterwards.  It was so encouraging to hear how many  people were blessed through the art of dance!  I hope that we will have another outreach soon!

Our Grace Chapel Outreach!

All of us had a blast preforming alongside Grace Chapel at their Christmas Program! Everyone at the church was very kind and encouraging, and we would be happy to dance for them again. We preformed "Carry Your Name" by Christy Nockels, and "Silent Night" which was instrumental. After the program we were blessed by all the wonderful people at Grace Chapel with hot chocolate, yummy punch and Christmas cookies. We were able to take some Christmas pictures with a little three year old who loves to dance as well. :) We want to thank Grace Chapel for giving us this opportunity, and also our Savior, Jesus, for giving us the gift of dance.

Our Lifehouse Outreach!

On Sunday, October 26 we went to a ministry called Lifehouse. They help unwed mothers during their pregnancy and beyond. That day they were having an open house with the theme of a carnival. We all got there early and each of us were assigned with a game booth. We enjoyed painting little faces, helping kids bowl with a soccer ball and soda bottles, giving out candy just for trying, and many other fun activities. It was so wonderful getting to meet the sweet ladies and children and see them smile! After about an hour or so we gathered to pray and then prepared to dance. We just dance barefoot on the grass and the casual attitude of the event definitely helped calm our nerves. We danced to "Love Take Me Over" by Steven Curtis Chapman and "Carry Your Name" by Christy Nockels. Before, between, and after the songs Alexa, Grace, and then I shared testimonies and short messages. We were all very blessed by the warmness and welcoming spirit of all those watching, and we hope they were blessed by the worship. It is always our desire that the audience be pointed to Christ by our dancing and that through it they too would just worship Him. It was a wonderful first outreach and we can't see what God has next!
